So we haven't made a post for a while for which we apologise but I think we've a good excuse..... we've made our final big move for a while, shipping ourselves lock stock to France.
We spent a few months traveling around the world hoping that we decide with certainty on somewhere to live, but you know it's a tough decision!
We loved life in London - most of our friends live there - and we really felt at home in some of the places we visited. Particularly New Zealand and San Francisco. We'd really love a year or two in Japan.
But finally we settled on France - and Paris in particular. Why? Well maybe it's better we give you an idea across a number of posts.
It's not perfect - nowhere is, and that's something we definitely have learnt during our big trip. I think we've learnt to see the best in every place, and hope to keep an open mind and keep on traveling!
But for starters, we love it here because it takes less than half an hour to reach the centre of Paris, and yet we live right next to an enormous forest. Maybe not the most practical footwear for a forest, but Ophelia's shoes look mighty fine amongst the fallen leaves....
Wow! So beautifu.

Congratulations. I wished I could have stayed in Paris. I lived there for 15 years and even though I was not born there and came to it only when I was 18, I consider it my home city. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) the love of my life is British and doesn't speak French so we are probably going to stay in the UK. You're going to have a brilliant time with Ophelia there. Keep us posted on your discoveries for young children. When I go back for my "escape" weekends, I'll try them with my daughter. Best of luck
