Et voila! Our latest New-York City prints are available from Famille Summerbelle's website. I designed it the same way as I did the Paris and London maps. The prints are based on an original paper cut design that I did over the Summer. The prints come in two colours: Night blue and Plum and the size is the same as the previous City prints: 42x60cm. (the prints are sold unframed)
Those pretty and poetic round bubbles 'Bulles de Nua' are made by Marie Macon and Anne-Laure Lesquoy for Red Editions. They are made out of Vietnamese bamboo and the inside comes in 3 different colours made of lacquer. They are perfect for a stylish way to clear up the toys and magazines. I would happily have them displayed in the living room.
We've been very spoiled by the UK mag Easy Living over the past 2 months. We've been featured twice which is very exciting.
I'm mentioning on the article the accessories that we use on a daily basis (the Imac for designing, the Babycook steamer when Ophelia was little, the radio...) or when we were traveling: the kids headphones for Ophelia, the Iphone to check our email and work while away, the Canon camera to take pictures of the products or for the blog...
The house was busy today with the visit of 2 charming ladies from London, Sian (Stylist) and Bridget (photographer), who came especially to do a photo shoot of the interior of the house. They did some really nice shots so we're hoping the photos will end up in nice magazines in the UK and maybe abroad.
Also while looking at blogs in my comfy bed tonight, I discovered via Bloesem the talented Nina Invorm a Dutch ceramic artist. I really like her style and the colours she uses and also the way she recycles plates and pots with her designs.
It's been a long wait over the Summer, but it was worth the wait! We are very pleased with the results so a huge thank you to you all for helping us make the right choice of colour for the new London map in Red and Paris map in Sage Green.
They are now available on our website. Paris in pink and London in turquoise are also still available.
Choosing the winner was the hard bit. Ophelia helped me and pulled names out of her hat. Kerry and Deb you will receive a print each in your letter box very soon! A very big thank you for you all who left us some lovely and inspiring messages.
Just to let you know, i've been designing and paper cutting the map of New York City over the Summer. I'll post some images soon as the prints will be ready in the next week or so...
It was a nice surprise to see an article in the latest Wallpaper magazine from an old school friend Gary Card. We graduated together from Central Saint Martins. He is now actively involved in designing sets, illustrations for the fashion industry.
He made some amazing puppets (made of masking tape) for 'The life of Galileo' a play I was working on few years ago when I was still designing sets for theatre.

We went on Saturday to the launch of Edition Paumes new book 'Patisseries à Paris' in the culinary bookstore "La Cocotte' in the 11th Arrondissement (a treasure shop if you're looking for innovative and unusual cook books).
We're already big fan of their collection and we couldn't resist to buy the latest one about the best and most delicious Parisian patisseries. I love sweet things so just looking at the images makes me want to eat eat eat! Ok, it's still in written in Japanese, but it doesn't really matter as the address+website+phone number of the patisserie is mentioned in French/English, which is only what matters.I'm going to try them all!
We had a lovely and warm long Summer break spent with the family in the sun. It was as you can imagine so nice to relax and to be cut off the world for few week, no internet, no phone and out of the office! I thought at first that I would never manage (especially without the internet) but thanks to Simon's help it all went fine with FS shop. I feel much more chilled now and full of energy to start the new school year. Et oui, Ophelia starts school tomorrow. I think i'm more nervous than she is.
Still i'm so happy to be back online and to catch up on some of my favorite blogs. So many nice things were posted over the Summer.

Just to put us in the mood for September. Some truly beautiful mushrooms made by hand by Kris (from Kris's color stripes blog) . I'd love to have some to put on the mantelpiece, but i think they've already sold out. I hope she will make others soon!
My dear friend Emma Cassi has been super busy making some amazing cards, notebooks and garlands with vintage laces and papers. She will be making an exhibition at the lovely boutique/gallery space Doux Dimanche in Tokyo (hello Rie and Fumie!). So all the best to Emma.
I discovered the Australian brand Maé via Bloesem Kids and the funky wall stickers made of fabric which is quite unusual. Ophelia would love the dressing up doll in her room.
Studio Violet is launching a re-used porcelain collection this Autumn. It's a one of a kind serie. Just gorgeous.
