Famille Summerbelle

Back in town

Famille Summerbelle has a new and very nice studio in Hoxton, London where we will be sending our orders. Simon drove most of the stock at the beginning of the week and I have just been at the studio to set it all up.
We're very happy to welcome Hazel to our Famille.
Hazel will be in helping us in London with the orders while I'll be in Paris designing and Simon will continue to commute between the two Cities!
It feels good to see our business growing.
Back to Paris tomorrow.


This is a view from Shoreditch House looking at Liverpool St station and the Gherkin. As I was walking down the road today, it reminded me that I wanted to post about the Lazy Lawn designed by Tom Dixon with large beds to sunbath while drinking a cocktail. It's quite a nice way to relax in the City over Summer.

The cousins

It was so nice to see my brother, his wife and their 3 children this week. Ophelia was so happy to see and play with her cousins. They're a good team.

Welcome back

My big brother is coming back this weekend for a couple of weeks with his wife and 3 children to see us in Paris. They have been living the California dream in San Francisco since last October and they are going to stay there for another couple of years. We are planning to visit them next year. I really can't wait. I love San Francisco.

It's always nice to see the work of old school mates from Saint Martins College. Gary Card did this set for Lane Crawford.

I also really like the work he does with his photographer friend Jacob Sutton. This one was for the Telegraph.

Mandy Smith

Mandy Smith knows how to cut and play with paper. The details are pretty impressive. I love her paper dress and paper house inspired by the architecture of Amsterdam.
