We have enjoyed a relaxing week with the children for the half term holiday-Vacances de la Toussaint- In summary, everyday: Breakfast with croissants and pains au chocolat, work on the laptop in the morning while Ophelia paints and Lucien crawls everywhere. Lunch in the sun along the sea front and in the afternoon a long cycle ride...

Darling Clementine

Very cool designs by Norwegian design Agency Darling Clementine. Ingrid Reithaug and Tonje Holand are inspired by their Scandinavian design heritage. Check their beautiful collection: cushions, cards, notebooks and prints.

Have a nice weekend! We're hoping to go away for few days on the French West coast as it's half term here in France (vacances de la Toussaint)...well I say hoping...because of the strikes most of the petrol stations are closed. We have enough petrol to get there...but maybe not to come back :)

Stunning photos of semi precious stones by jewelery designer Marie-Hélène de Taillac. She works with the finest jewellers in India, master craftsmen whose traditional methods date back to the time of 18th century Maharajahs. I remember seeing her beautiful collection through the glass of her shop window rue de Tournon in Paris.

Re work

Stunning work by designer Huw Griffith who re-works 19th century mirrors with antique fabrics. His work can be seen in Anthropology, Paul Smith, Whistles....

City bags out now!

These elegant and robust canvas shopping bags are the latest addition to our range. We've produced three different designs, using our popular 'paper cut' maps of London, Paris and NYC.
The bags are hand screen printed and made by Re-wrap in India.
Re-wrap is a social enterprise of female workers in the South of India who use entirely sustainable methods following fair trade standards.
The bags are designed for everyday use (I personally use them for carrying the children's toys, food and anything I need during the day when we're out and about and Simon uses them to go food shopping!). The strong shoulder straps are very comfortable and the reinforced padded base is perfect for heavy loads.

You can also store your valuables in the internal pocket.

The City bags retail at £19 / €22 / $30 (plus postage).

Playful candle holders

The candle holders by Helgo Astack are based on the idea of stacking toys for children. They are made in Denmark from natural and lacquered beechwood. Each piece fit into the other and you can mix and match, stack high or low, add colours or stay neutral, whatever you feel like!
