For the love of hand made plates

I have to thanks my mum for my love of hand made plates and dishes. Since I can remember my mother would always serves us beautifully cooked food on hand made plates. Mostly hand made by her or by one of my sisters. A couple of weeks ago she came to visit us in Amsterdam with a luggage full of plates she made for our new home. Everyday I think of her when serving dinner xx

DIY Autumn garland

Wednesdays are spent with the children as they have the afternoon off. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day yet very cold. One of those days that announces the beginning of Autumn.
We decided to stay home and while Téo was napping, Ophelia, Lucien and I started to do some drawings and paintings on the kitchen table. Lucien drew a colourful mushroom with chalks and then decided it was too easy and painted a wonderful Royal Eagle! Ophelia and I chose the theme of Autumn and this is what we made.
